NYC Local Law Compliance
LOCAL LAW 26
The Department of Buildings retroactive requirement pertaining to fire sprinkler systems states that all office buildings 100 feet or more in height are to be fully sprinklered by July 1, 2019. Each sprinkler system is required to be installed and signed-off to show proper compliance with the law.
LOCAL LAW 83
The Department of Buildings requirement pertaining to the installation of backwater valves in special flood hazard areas. Backwater valves shall be installed not only on sanitary sewage lines connected to public utilities but stormwater connections as well shall comply.
